Terms of Service
Last updated: May 1, 2026
These terms govern your use of Lineupp. They're written in plain English because you should be able to understand what you're agreeing to without a law degree. If anything is unclear, email hello@lineupp.app and we'll explain.
1. Agreement
By creating an account, requesting early access, signing your child up as a guest player, or otherwise using Lineupp, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
Lineupp is operated by Digital Gravy
(digitalgravy.co)
("Lineupp", "we", "us", "our"). The marketing site lives at lineupp.app and the application lives at dashboard.lineupp.app. Both are covered by these Terms.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create a Lineupp account. Players under 18 do not log in to Lineupp directly; their information is added by their coach or by a parent through a guest sign-up link.
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away at hello@lineupp.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Early access
Lineupp is currently in early access. That means:
- It's free. No credit card, no paywall hidden behind feature flags. Every coach gets the whole product.
- Things may change. Features may be added, modified, or removed. We try to avoid breaking changes to data you care about (rosters, scoring), but the product is actively evolving.
- We may introduce paid plans later. If we do, existing early-access teams will get reasonable notice and a fair transition. We won't quietly start charging your card.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Lineupp for anything illegal, fraudulent, or that harms children or other users.
- Upload, post, or transmit content that's harassing, abusive, hateful, defamatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate for a youth-sports community. Lineupp is built for parents and kids; act accordingly.
- Attempt to access another team's data, another user's account, or any non-public area of the service.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service except via our published security contact.
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the service in a way that puts unreasonable load on it. Reasonable export of your own team data is expressly fine — we provide CSV export inside the app for that purpose.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit access to the service without our prior written permission.
- Use the service to send unsolicited bulk messages or spam (including through team chat or guest sign-up flows).
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of any non-open-source component of the service.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
5. Your content and data
You own your content. Rosters, schedules, lineups, scores, photos, messages, and any other data you put into Lineupp belong to you (or to the team / parent who provided it).
To run the service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, display, and process your content for the limited purpose of providing Lineupp to you and the people you've invited to your team. We do not use your content to train any machine-learning model, and we do not sell it.
You're responsible for the content you put into Lineupp — including ensuring you have the right to share player information, photos, and contact details with the people on your team. If you're acting on behalf of a league or club, you represent that you have authority to do so.
6. Invites and team access
Coaches invite assistants, scorekeepers, and parents into their team. Anyone you invite can see and (depending on permissions) edit team data. It's your responsibility to invite people you trust.
Parent guest sign-ups are reviewed and approved by the coach before the player is added to the roster. By submitting a guest sign-up, you confirm you have the legal authority to share the player's information with the team.
7. Email communications
We'll send you transactional email related to your account (signup links, password resets, team invitations, guest sign-up notifications). These are operationally necessary; you can't opt out of them and continue using the service.
We'll only send you marketing email (product updates, announcements, occasional onboarding tips) if you explicitly opted in — typically by checking the consent box on the request-access form. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
8. Service availability
We work to keep Lineupp available and reliable, but during early access we don't offer a formal uptime SLA. The service is provided "as is" and "as available". Planned maintenance, infrastructure outages at our hosting providers, and other incidents may cause temporary unavailability.
9. Suspension and termination
You can stop using Lineupp at any time. To delete your account and associated team data, use the in-app settings or email hello@lineupp.app and we'll take care of it. We typically remove account data within 30 days of a deletion request. (See the Privacy Policy for details on retention.)
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if your use of the service creates risk or possible legal exposure for us, or if we discontinue the service. Where reasonable, we'll give you advance notice and an opportunity to export your data before any termination not related to a serious violation.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent substantive change. If we make material changes, we'll surface them in-app or by email before they take effect for current users. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Intellectual property
The Lineupp name, logo, marketing site copy, and the software that powers the service (other than your content) are owned by Lineupp and protected by copyright and trademark law. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of those rights to you.
If you submit feedback or feature ideas, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to use that feedback to improve Lineupp without obligation to you.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
Lineupp is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including (without limitation) warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or any warranty arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Lineupp be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of the service, even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total cumulative liability arising out of or related to these Terms or the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars (US$100). For most early-access users this means cap (b) applies, because (a) is zero.
Some jurisdictions don't allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or damages. In those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lineupp from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of (a) your content, (b) your use of the service in violation of these Terms or applicable law, or (c) your infringement of any third-party right.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Lineupp's operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You and Lineupp agree that any dispute arising out of or related to the service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in that state, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. Either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property or confidential information.
16. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Lineupp regarding the service.
- Severability. If any part of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining parts stay in effect.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all our assets.
- No agency. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, employment, or agency relationship between you and Lineupp.
17. Contact
